Keep advising your clients with Equity & General’s compliance, paraplanning and administration behind you, and exit on terms agreed before you join.
Securo is Equity & General’s succession programme for principal-led advice firms, directly authorised or under a network.
You keep the firm. You carry on running your business and advising your clients, and ownership stays with you until the day you choose to sell.
Equity & General runs the back office. Compliance, paraplanning, administration and infrastructure move across when you join.
The exit is agreed first. Equity & General acquires the assets under management at no less than market value when you retire, on a floor agreed in writing before you join.
There is a fallback if terms cannot be agreed. If terms cannot be agreed when the time comes, your clients are novated to a host of your choosing.
The programme in full
A first call with Steven Bates about your firm and your timing. Then the terms in writing, including the exit floor, before anything changes.
After you join, you keep advising at your own pace. Compliance, paraplanning, administration and infrastructure move to Equity & General.
The programme runs in four stages at the pace you set, and you and Equity & General each have your own part in it.

Equity & General
Trainee advisers work alongside you to reconnect with legacy clients and get reviews back on an annual cycle, handing each client back to you for the advice.
You
Your clients meet the adviser who will look after them next while you are still in the room.
Equity & General
When you choose, Equity & General acquires the assets under management at no less than market value, on the floor agreed before you joined.
Your clients see the same adviser. The work behind the advice moves to Equity & General.
